I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were pretty nice, but being close to the elevators made for some noisy mornings. There was a 'no smoking' policy, but I noticed a funny smell in the room. On the plus side, the room had a/c and heater which was convenient.

The rooms were pretty nice, except for being close to the elevators that made quite a noise in the morning. There was a 'no smoking' policy, but there was a funny smell in the room. The room had a/c and heater.
Service
9.0
The service was top-notch. The staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. Although they unintentionally caught me off guard by knocking on the door when I was half-asleep and nursing my son, they were really great and professional.
Location
8.0
The location was excellent, close to the Palacio Real, cathedral, and the bustling Gran Via where plenty of dining options were available. Despite being in a usually noisy square, I was grateful to check into a ready room after a long trip from Florida.
Dining
5.0
I chose to dine outside the hotel due to the poor quality of the offerings. However, the nearby cheap options provided good value for money, with a decent breakfast including churillos, tomato liquid, egg, yogurt, fresh orange juice, and self-service coffee.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were basic, but the hotel had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

My stay at the hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms, though very nice and clean, were a bit noisy due to their proximity to the elevators, especially in the morning. The service provided by the staff was exceptional and always helpful. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore central Madrid. However, dining options were subpar, and the facilities were just average.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with a big room that, although a bit outdated, offered a beautiful view directly onto the Royal Palace. The location, close to Gran Via, was superb. The service was very helpful and the staff was professional and great. However, I found the dining options in the nearby cafe to be a bit pricey. The hotel is conveniently situated near major tourist attractions and the Metro.

The hotel is centrally located near major attractions like Gran Via and the Royal Palace. The service was friendly and helpful despite some language barriers. The rooms, however, needed redecorating and had a damp smell. The nearby road constructions slightly affected access but overall a convenient place to stay.

Rooms

My room had only one blackout curtain, which is common in budget European hotels. However, the room needed redecorating and had a damp smell by the end of the day.
Service
9.0
The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to recommend a great Flamenco restaurant nearby.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location next to Plaza de Espana and near Gran Via, the Royal Palace, and Templo de Debod was quite convenient, despite some ongoing road constructions.
Dining
5.0
The cafeteria for breakfast was too crowded, making it hard to enjoy a decent meal. It's a shame the dining experience wasn't better.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offers a safe to store valuables and is right next to a subway station for easy access to other areas of the city.

The hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable, though a bit pricey. The service was efficient and helpful, despite some minor unpreparedness. The location was perfect despite road constructions nearby. The dining options were mixed, with good value for money. Facilities were satisfactory.
